Hello everyone, as I sit writing this I feel very reflective of 2018. I’m pretty sure I said this in my Goodbye 2017, Hello 2018 and Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017 I feel like this year has been a rollercoaster. Everything that has happened in the past 12 months, the good and the bad has shaped into a person I am so happy to be.

My Fave Blog Posts of 2018
Hello everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the festive season! As the year comes to an end I thought I would round up all my favourite blog posts from this year. I haven’t done this type of post before on my blog, so why not make a start now! Whilst I love all the posts I publish, there are always some that mean more than others. Or I just love in general!

This summer has been an eventful one, so I thought I would do a post I have never done before: summarising my summer. In the three months I had off for uni so much has happened in such a short space of time. I went from dating someone to being single again. I have travelled to the beaches of Weymouth and visiting Scotland for the first time. I got a promotion at work, I have tried things I never thought I would and it has flown by!
Starting off with June I finished my HNC in the first week with final hand in for our assessments the week after. I have never been so stressed but also super proud of myself. I had such a great time with the end of year show, the theme was phobias so we really go to experiment and play with makeup. I absolutely loved my first year, which you can read more about my first year as an ‘older’ student here.

This was our last day in this amazing city! I know I’ve pretty much said the same things about Edinburgh in Day One, Day Two and Day Three. But honestly it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I haven’t travelled extensively nor been abroad much. But this is definitely a good start!
Edinburgh Travel Diary – Day Three
After spending two days in Edinburgh, Day One and Day Two, Monday was our last full day in Edinburgh. We had booked The Real Mary Kings Close Tour. This had been recommended to me from my hairdresser who went to Edinburgh I think last winter. I wasn’t really sure what to expect from the tour, I had looked at it online and thought it looked pretty cool to do.
Our tour was booked for 11am, which meant we were able to have a well deserved lay in and a chill morning. The tour lasted an hour and it was so interesting! It was about the people who lived in Mary Kings Close in the 1600’s and their way of life. Our tour guide Chris T was so good at his job, making his character seem real. He knew all his facts and was able to answer any questions anyone had.

On Saturday July 7th I set off to the capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh. I had never been that far up North, nor had I ever been to Scotland. As we live quite a way down south, it would take us around 6 hours to get to Edinburgh. We decided to get the 6.19am train, that way we arrived in Edinburgh around 12.30pm and we had the rest of the afternoon to explore our new home for the next few days.
We emerged from Edinburgh Waverley Station at lunch time and immediately greeted with an amazing view. There were spires and many beautiful buildings to soak up. Seeing something online is so different to being there in real life. Almost everywhere you turn there is something beautiful to see. The weather was really hot too! I couldn’t believe our luck at how hot it was!
