I have followed Beth Painter on Instagram for a very long time and when she announced she was coming out with a palette I knew it was something that would be up my street! Her collaboration is with Sample Beauty, a brand I had seen on insta but never tried anything from so was looking forward to trying my first product from them.
The palette is £30 and can be bought on Beautybay.com and Sample Beauty’s own website. There are 30 shades in the palette consisting of 27 matte shades and 3 foils. The Painters Palette is described as:
Find your inner artist and express your creativity with Sample Beauty’s The Painter’s Palette. This palette features 30 butter-soft shades that buff and blend seamlessly onto the lid. Created In collaboration with @bethpaintermakeup, this palette features 27 matte shades and three foil shades in a wide range of colours for you to experiment with. Get ready to create endless eye-catching looks.

I love the packaging of this palette, it looks and feels like there is paint on it! It’s so colourful and I love that she named it The Painters Palette and her last name is Painter – it’s so fitting!
Inside I love the colour story, it’s laid out with all the lighter colours at the top going down to the darker and neutral shades. There is definitely an array of shades in the palette, and I love that. It’s not just one green one purple etc, there are different variations of some shades which make blending super easy to do just using one palette.
All the shades are very pigmented and I find them really easy to build up colour as well as to blend out. The shades don’t have much kickback either which I really like.
I would have liked to see more foiled shades as there are only 3, but they are stunning nonetheless. I couldn’t believe just how pigmented they are. Usually I only use a shimmer/foil as a base for a pigment but with these foils they are stunning on their own!
What I also love is the quote on the inside of the palette “Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time” – Thomas Merton. It’s so true and I love she included it inside! Overall I love this palette, it’s perfect for those who are makeup artists as well as people who just enjoy makeup! For £30 it’s a bargain and I cannot recommend this palette enough! I’ll definitely be trying more from Sample Beauty!
