Bleach London Tangerine Dream Review

With lockdown meaning all the salons were shut it was only a matter of time before I dyed my own hair. I had the front of my hair bleached last year and I dyed it bright orange. But the orange was faded to a light ginger, and to cheer myself up I decided to bite the bullet and buy an orange hair dye.

So on a trip to Boots I picked up the Bleach London non-permanent hair dye in Tangerine Dream. For £6 you get 150ml, and I thought you can’t really go wrong, plus as it’s non-permanent it won’t damage my hair for when the salons are open and taking bookings.

It does say the dye is for light blonde or bleached hair. I followed the instructions of shampooing the hair and then towel drying the hair. As I only wanted to dye the front sections of my hair I sectioned off the pieces I wanted and evenly applied a splodge of dye to the hair. I did add a small amount of conditioner to the hair dye, just to give the hair a little deep conditioning at the same time.

I didn’t want the dye to go a lot onto my roots, so I gently blended the edge upwards so it gave a nice fade into the orange. The bottle says to leave the dye on for 30 minutes, however the first time I dyed my hair I left it on for 20 minutes as the hair already looked super bright.

I washed the colour out and when I dried the hair I loved the result! It was a super bright reddy orange. The colour is supposed to last anywhere from 2 to 10 washes and I definitely agree. After 2 washes the front sections were pretty much back to the light orange they were before.

I have used this dye multiple times, probably once every other week to top up the colour. Using the full 30 minutes before washing the colour off. I don’t think it has damaged my hair in any way, as it washes out so quickly. Overall if you’re looking for a fun way to spice up your hair colour I definitely recommend the Bleach London colours, plus there are so many to chose from you could easily go a different colour every few weeks!

Thanks so much for reading, until next time
