Sustainability is something that is becoming easier and easier to do. With the news on how our planets climate is changing and how the use of plastic is killing our oceans, I have been doing my bit to help reduce waste and use more sustainable products. Whilst it may not make a huge impact, it all adds up.

- Muslin Cloths and Face Halo
As a makeup junkie I wear makeup pretty much on a daily basis, and so I needed something more sustainable that using multiple cotton pads every day. I decided to try using muslin cloths as I already had a few from a cleanser, and they have made such an impact in my routine! Using a muslin cloth and a makeup removing cleanser has really benefitted not only my bank account as I don’t go through as much remover as before. Plus I can reuse the muslin cloth for a few days (depending on how much makeup I’ve been wearing) before popping it in the wash. - Reusable bags
I have been using reusable bags for years, they are so handy and I cannot tell you how many plastic bags it has saved me from buying. A lot of reusable bags come in their own little bag, perfect for popping into a handbag. - Reusable Water bottles
I rarely go anywhere with taking my reusable water bottle with me. I even took one to Edinburgh with me and it saved me buying so many disposable water bottles, plus restaurants will fill up your water bottle for free. - Using lunch boxes
I know it may sound a little silly, but I used to wrap my sandwiches for work in cling-film purely to save space in my bag. Now however, I have smaller lunch boxes for my sandwiches. Not only saving single use plastic but also a few pennies.

5. Shopping Second-Hand
In the last year I have really started to shop more in charity shops and second-hand shops. Before I would never usually give them a second glance, but now I enjoy browsing through to see what they have. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of the time they don’t have anything in my size/style. It’s a game of pot luck, but with apps like depop it even easier to get items you want for even cheaper!
6. Recycling crisp packets
Hear me out for this one, I love a bag of crisps and pretty much have a packet every day and the packets end up in the bin. However, my work recycle certain crisp packets and at my mums work they recycle all crisp packets. It’s not until we started collecting them to take them to work be recycled that I realised how many packets we went through a week! If you love a good packet of crisps like me, you can find your local crisp packet recycling drop-off here!
Those are just a few ways I have been reducing the amount of waste in my everyday life. A lot of tips I have got from other bloggers and I enjoy reading ways that others too have been helping reduce waste. So if you have any tips that you like to do let me know in the comments below!
Thank you for reading, until next time

Such great ideas! What is good as well is that you can still be fashionable and creative while being sustainable. You can get cute bags, cute bottles and personnalized lunchboxes as well! Thanks for sharing that link for crisps packet recycling by the way!!! I have been so torn over the last year about that and I had stopped buying my favorite crisps altogether because if it cannot be recycled, what’s the point? You might have just saved a life haha Thanks for sharing! I missed reading your blog (probably haven’t really visited since my previous blog around 2016/2017 haha) ♥
