Becca Skin Love Foundation | Review

Earlier in the year I saw Desi Perkins and a few other YouTubers rave about how good this Becca foundation is. I love Becca highlighters and haven’t tried any other products from the brand. So when I got a sample pot from Space NK and tried it at home I knew I needed in my collection!

For £32 you get 35 ml of product, only 5ml more than my NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation. Skin Love is described on as:

A weightless, medium buildable foundation with a soft matte finish that mimics the look of smooth, healthy skin. Pore Blurring Pigments instantly smooth skin, even tone and texture while overtime BECCA’s Glow Nectar Brightening Complex, a proprietary blend of natural ingredients and actives, help brighten, hydrate and soothe the skin.
Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation instantly moisturizes skin and improves skin’s natural moisture levels over time. Clinically tested.

The long lasting, self-setting foundation provides medium, buildable coverage that feels weightless and looks natural. Imperfections and pores are instantly camouflaged thanks to a light-as-air blurring complex that keep skin looking fresh, smooth and shine free. Infused with flexible, breathable pigments that adapt and adhere to become one with skin for a custom, second-skin finish. Formulated with skin’s health in mind, Vitamin C boosts radiance, ginger soothes and a skin-quenching blend of cold pressed Avocado and Melon extract maintains skin’s natural moisture levels for all day, comfortable wear.

Infused in all of BECCA’s Skin Love products, Glow Nectar Brightening Complex’s blend of powerful actives and natural ingredients help brighten, hydrate and soothe the skin over time to improve your natural glow.
Skin Love Weightless Blur Foundation is formulated without phthalates, parabens, sulfates, PEGS and GMOs.

One of the main reasons I got this foundation was for when I went on holiday earlier in the year. I didn’t want a full coverage foundation but something to keep my skin looking natural. This foundation fit what I was looking for perfectly. The packaging is a sleek silver tube with a pump at the end, perfect for travelling as it can’t explode!

Wearing Becca Skin Love for an evening out

I have the shade Vanilla and it is slightly too dark on my skin, but not super noticeable. The formula is lightweight and buildable. I find on my combination skin it slightly sticks to dry areas, but nothing moisturiser before applying can’t fix. It also doesn’t make me look super shiny when I’m out and about. It also lasts really well, when I wore it to Amsterdam it survived a full day and evening of exploring, eating and the weather with only breaking up around my nose as I had a slight cold. It also survived pretty well when I went to Paris.

Not only is this a great foundation for winter I’ve found in the warmer weather it holds up pretty well too. My skin is naturally oilier in the warmer weather, so of course the foundation will look shiner throughout the day, but easily fixed with some powder.

I have used it for everyday looks as well as going out I the evening. One pump is enough for my face as well as go over any extra blemishes I may have.

Overall I love this foundation! It smells quite sweet, but I don’t mind the scent. It makes my skin look like my skin but better. I cannot live without this in my collection! Thank you so much for reading, what’s your favourite foundation?
