Over the last few months I have been trying out a few different things from Pixi’s skincare range. At the beginning of the year Pixi was introduced to Boots and everything was discounted, so I made the most of the opportunity and bought pretty much everything I’d had my eye on to try. So underneath each mini review I’ll be giving the product a score from 1-10 as to how it did for me. Before we start I’ll quickly disclaim that I have combination skin and prone to redness/breakouts.
This has been the most raved about Pixi product for the longest time, so I couldn’t resist trying it for myself. I use this in the evenings and I think it’s okay. My skin looks healthy and there is definitely a difference in the appearance of my skin since I started to use this! My skin is more glowy, which sometimes makes me look more oilier, but nothing a little powder can’t fix.
As I have a lot of redness around my nose/cheeks and this toner has worked wonders for my skin! This has helped to minimise redness and helped to calm my skin. I really enjoy using this toner, I use it every morning!
Glow Mud Cleanser
This cleanser is so nice! I really like using this in the mornings, my skin feels clean, hydrated and ready for the day! It gives my skin a healthy glow, which can look a little too shiny for my liking, but once makeup is applied it’s hardly noticeable!
Rose Flash Balm
As a makeup addict I was intrigued to try this product. It’s described as a 3-in-1 moisturiser primer and mask. It can be used under makeup to help hydrate the skin or as a primer. I’ve never tried a balm but I really like this, it hydrates my skin when it’s feeling a bit dry and helps my makeup go on smoothly. Would I repurchase this, I’m not sure but I’m enjoying using it whilst it’s in my collection!
Jasmine Oil Blend
As my skin had become quite dry over the winter this was a product I was keen to try and I have to say it’s become a staple in my collection. I mix it in with my normal evening moisturiser, or apply it after toner then apply moisturise after depending on how dry my skin has been. Even in the summer it gives my skin extra hydration and makes my skin look so good. This little bottle is so worth the splurge. I use 3 drops for my entire face and neck and it does the job amazingly! My skin looks healthy after and when I apply makeup the next day there are no dry areas.
When I first used this moisturiser I wasn’t convinced as it feels like a gel and usually they either dry my skin out or make me look too oily. However, I really love this moisturiser, even though I have combination skin my skin has been drier recently and this has really helped my skin to keep hydrated. It doesn’t make my skin look any oilier than usual and has improved my skin texture massively!
Those are all the products I have tried so far from the Pixi skincare range, I have the Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse but haven’t got around to using it yet as I want to finish up the cleanser I’m using at the moment.
Overall I really recommend trying Pixi skincare, there are so many products to try and something for every type of skin! I definitely have my eye on trying a few more things, so there could be a part 2 to this post in the future! What is your favourite skincare product? Thank you so much for reading, until next time
