Kat Von D Tattoo Liner vs NYX Epic Ink Liner | Comparison Review

A little while ago I posted a comparison review of the NYX Matte Liquid Liner vs Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, which you guys really enjoyed. So as I was still on the hunt for a new holy grail eyeliner to replace the Tattoo Liner I decided to try the NYX Epic Ink liner as I had also seen really good reviews about this drugstore liner and it had also been compared to Tattoo Liner.

I love nothing more than a classic wing liner, lashes and bold lips makeup look. It’s pretty much my go to look. Which means I go through liner probably 3-4 times a year. As Tattoo Liner had been my fave until Kat decided not to vacinatte her child as well as it being £16 per liner. When I saw Jamie Genevieve say how good the Epic Ink liner by NYX is, as well as other makeup lovers compare it to Kat’s Tattoo Liner I knew it was something I wanted to try. 

Not only is NYX Epic Ink liner cheaper it has 1ml of product compared to Kat Von D 0.55ml. No wonder I was going through it so quickly!

On the left is the NYX Epic Ink Liner and on the right is the Tattoo Liner from Kat Von D. The Tattoo Liner isn’t as black as the Epic Ink, plus I found the Tattoo Liner to be quite patchy. Which I’m not sure is down to the liner itself or because it’s starting to run out. 

NYX Epic Ink liner claims to be waterproof, whilst I haven’t tested that it is harder to remove than the Tattoo Liner. It’s not super hard to remove it just needs more product rubbed in to get off. Both eyeliners are comfortable to wear and when I rub my eyes both liners stay put and don’t smudge.

Overall I definitely prefer the NYX Epic Ink Liner,  I’ve finally found an eyeliner to replace Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner! Not only is it cheaper but it’s a more intense colour. What is your go to eyeliner? Thank you so much for reading, until next time
