Paris Travel Diary | Day 3 & 4

If you’ve missed my first travel diary about my time in Paris, you can read it here! Thursday 7th March we were up really early and had left the hotel by 7.30am to get to the Makeup Forever seminar at 9.30am. As we drove through Paris we saw the sunrise over the outskirts of the city, which was beautiful.

We weren’t sure what to expect at the seminar, we all thought it would be beauty related, however it was special effects. Which I like doing, but isn’t my preferred makeup style. After the demonstration we all got a go with the Makeup Forever special effects products (which I didn’t even realise they did) and it was fun to create gashes and cuts on each others arms!

The seminar finished earlier than planned, and so we had to wait over an hour for the coach to pick us all up. We wandered around to find a place to eat, I’ll admit it wasn’t the prettiest part of Paris and it made me a little apprehensive for what the centre of the city would be like.

Eventually we were making the 30 minute coach journey into the city centre. The closer we go to the centre the prettier the city got. We were dropped off outside the Eiffel Tower and as soon as we got out we took lots of photos outside the Eiffel Tower! I was glad the weather had cleared up and was no longer raining as we made our way around the city.

After the Eiffel Tower we decided to head towards the Sephora, it was a 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and near the Champs Élysées. Walking through the streets, all the buildings were so pretty. They were a sandy colour with black balconies. We walked past so many boujee shops before getting to Sephora. I had never been in a Sephora and was looking forward to it, however it was packed! It was like Boots on steroids. There were so many people, all the stalls had about 10 people looking at it, plus people in the isles. It was too much for me, so I picked up a Fenty Lipgloss in Fu$$y and some sheet masks. I did want to pick up a setting powder and foundation but the stands were so busy and I didn’t fancy trying to squeeze in to find my shade.

After Sephora was walked up, what I now realise was the Champs Élysées. I didn’t realise until we were there that it was a stretch of road leading up to the Arc De Triumph! So we wandered along, and it wasn’t as busy as I had imagined. Of course it was busy but no where near the level of London’s Oxford Street! Maybe because it was a Thursday mid-afternoon it wasn’t too crazy. We headed towards the Arc De Triumph and took lots of photos there. We even stood in the middle of the road (where there were people taking pictures) in front of the Arc De Triumph. It was so much fun to walk around these famous places in Paris.

Luckily for us just as we finished taking some photos it started to heavily rain. So we took cover under a shelter of a shop and made a plan to try to get the the Louvre. We only had 3.5 hours free time in Paris and wanted to make the most of it. We worked out if we got to the Louvre we would have 10 minutes before racing back to our meeting point. However, when we got to the Grand Palais the sun was starting to set it it was beautiful. So we decided rather than try to rush everything, we walked around the Palais and across the bridge we could see the sun setting near the Eiffel Tower. So of course we took more pictures. We then walked along the Seine before heading back to the coach to take us back to Disney. It was so beautiful walking down the Seine as the sun set. I felt happy and blissful, that moment could last forever as I wouldn’t get tired of the view.

Back on the coach we headed back the hotel, dropped our bags off and headed straight back out to Disney for food. This time we went to the Rainforest Cafe, we had a good 40 minute was between getting there and ordering. We had gotten there after 8, which is when the park closes and so we hit the rush. But it was worth it, I had a pasta dish and felt so full after I was ready for my face mask and bed! Back at the hotel I put on a grape face mask from Sephora in hopes it would help my skin recover from the long days and all the travelling we had been doing!

Day 4

Our last morning in Paris, we had breakfast, packed our suitcases and made our way to the train station. We were all tired and a lil grumpy from having such long days, I was definitely looking forward to sleeping in my own bed! When we got to the Guard De Nord we saw Mario Dedivaonic aka Makeup by Mario! I’ve never seen a celebrity in real life and felt awkward asking for a photo, but I’m glad I did as he’s such an amazing makeup artist!

That completes my Paris Travel diaries! I hope you have enjoyed reading about what I got up to! I would definitely go back to Paris to see all the things I didn’t get to see this time around. It is a beautiful city and the highlight of the entire trip for me was watching the sun set over the Seine. Is Paris on your bucket list, if so what places do you want to see/visit? Let me know in the comments below! Until next time
