Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation | Review

When I went to Bath last year I perused the isles of T.K. Maxx, usually when I go to T.K. Maxx the products have all be swatched or taken out of the packaging and stolen. Usually I never really find anything in T.K. Maxx however this time my luck had changed!

I had arrived in Bath not long after the store had opened so it was fairly quiet. Plus the makeup section looked like it had been freshly stocked with goodies from Becca, Stila and Anastasia Beverly Hills! There were 3 Stick Foundations available and they had a shade that would suit me!

With 30 shades available I picked up the shade Warm Ivory, which is for fair skin with warm neutral undertones. For £25 there’s 9.1g of product, which isn’t much compared to NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop foundation which has 30ml – when converted equals 30g of product for £15. 

I had never tried a stick foundation before so I was curious to see how it would differ to my liquid foundations. I applied the product straight onto my skin, blending it out with my Urban Decay Optical Blurring Foundation Brush. I found it better to apply the foundation on one area then blending it out as it dries fairly quickly.

The foundation applies really well onto my skin and matches my skin tone perfectly! It is definitely a light coverage foundation that can be built up. Although during winter certain places on my face get dry and the foundation stuck to those places. But it is buildable and easy to get more coverage. I personally didn’t find it to be full coverage when built up, as it started to look a little cakey on my skin. 

The Stick Foundation makes my skin even and gives a natural look. The finish for me isn’t too matte nor is it dewy, which I love. It wears so well and doesn’t break up around my skin. I wore this makeup from 9.30am to 9pm and it had only started to disappear on my chin where I had been eating/drinking as well I’d been touching my face. 

I really like this foundation and to find it for £9.99 was a total steal! I’m on the fence as to whether I’d buy it at full price as there’s not a lot of product and it’s quite light coverage. Having said that I do really like the way it looks on my skin! If I can find it again for cheaper I’ll definitely be repurchasing!
