A Makeup Look Using Products I Never Use

After going through my makeup collection and rearranging how I organise my collection, I realised there were a number of products I either don’t reach for any more or just never use. So I thought what better way to make use of them and see if I still like them than to do a makeup look with them!

There are a few products I haven’t included as there are either none in my collection I don’t like or none I have I don’t use. Products used to create this look;

Eyes:
NYX In Your Element Earth Palette

Skin:
Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint
Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
NYX #NoFilter Finishing Powder
Sleek Blush by 3 Palette in Pink Lemonade

Lips:
Lime Crime Velvetines in Saint

I really like how this makeup look turned out, even if I did remember half way through why I don’t use some of these products any more!
The NYX Earth palette was okay, the shades are pigmented but I found I really had to layer to get a good amount of pigment with some shades I used. I don’t know why I don’t use this palette, I thought I would use the shades but have only used it a handful of times.

Another product I realised why I never used it was the Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint. This is a very matte product and for my combination skin it really stuck to the dry areas of my face. I also find it transfers really easily, leaving the skin patchy. Keeping with the drying theme is the Lime Crime Velvetine I used, I find this with all the shades I have that they are super pigmented but also extremely drying!

Finally the setting powder #NoFilter I’m not a huge fan of, I think it’s alright but I wouldn’t repurchase. I find it separates on my skin after a few hours – even when I only lightly dust it over my skin. {After writing this post I continued to use the powder and found a weird film covering the bottom that peeled as I used it, so needless to say this went straight in my empties bag!}

Overall the only product I liked and would put them in my usual rotation of makeup is the Sleek Blush by 3 palette. These shades aren’t always what I go for, but they leave a super pretty sheen on the cheeks and are super pigmented.
