I love a good winged liner, so when I find a liner that ticks all the boxes I find it hard to try something new. However, when I saw the Stila Stay All Day Liquid being compared to my holy grail Kat Von D liner I knew I needed to see what it was all about.

Described on Stila.co.uk as:
Finally a waterproof liquid liner that glides on with ease, won’t smudge or run, and stays in place until you say when! The thin marker-like tip is easy to use even for the least experienced, and delivers a defined thin line to a dramatic bold line with precision. Goes on smoothly without skipping, smudging, or pulling, and lasts all day!
Key benefits
- Waterproof and easy-to-use
- Goes on smoothly without skipping
- Lasts all day long!
I was super excited to try this liner out, especially as it has been compared to Kat Von D Tattoo Liner. With all the claims it has I was eager to put it to the test. My initial thought when I tried this liner was that it spreads. So when I applied this onto my eyes for a winged liner, the liner would the spread into the skin of my eye, not giving a clean line. Which is quite annoying as I like a super smooth line, and sometimes it can be noticeable when there is no shadow on the eye.

I also found the tip isn’t sharp enough for me to get a super slick line. I have to really work with the pen. The pigment is good, sometimes I have to go over the lines to make it blacker but this wasn’t a huge problem as the black is a true black.
This liner definitely lasts all day, but I have to disagree with it applying smoothly. I found that it really skips on my eye which can make it a challenge to get a smooth wing. Whilst this hasn’t been the most positive review I have still enjoyed using it. As I am getting more creative and doing more makeup looks (which if you’d like to see some looks check out my Instagram!) I have been using this eyeliner as it does the job. For me it hasn’t ticked all the boxes, but I’ll continue to use this for creating makeup looks.
I have found the longer I have had this the application just becomes difficult to work with. Whether it is down to the product starting to dry out or the tip of the pen starting to fray.
For £14.50 this liner can be bought at Boots, Marks and Spencer, Beauty Bay and Feel Unique. I bought mine from Boots in a Christmas gift set that was still being sold in February! Thank you so much for reading! What is your go to eyeliner? Until next time
