Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer | Review

I have had the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer for a while now. I bought it as I had seen a lot of good things about it. However, I did get a little drama with this concealer. When I bought it the first time the makeup artist put the wrong shade through the till & I didn’t notice until I got home. As I don’t leave close to a Urban Decay counter I couldn’t swap it. So I then had to wait until the next time I went to an Urban Decay counter and bought the right shade.

Only to find that the concealer had exploded in the packaging and there was concealer everywhere! But I wasn’t going to travel an hour for a third time for a concealer. Even though the packaging is the same as the Naked Skin Colour Corrector, for some reason this one just continues to leak product. Even when I keep the concealer stood up it still manages to get out into the lid.

Anyway, enough ranting about the exploding packaging and onto the review! It’s described on UrbanDecay.co.uk as (literally one of the longest product descriptions ever);

Hide even your most scandalous flaws. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin to give you full coverage in an instant.

For complete coverage, just keep building; no matter how much you apply, Naked Skin Concealer always blends beautifully and won’t settle into fine lines.

Naked Skin Concealer helps improve skin’s youthful appearance and elasticity. Japanese green tea revitalizes and helps reduce the appearance by reducing the appearance of fine lines and giving a brighter, more radiant complexion. The formula is enriched with Matrixyl 3000, green tea, Litchiderm™ (derived from lychee fruit) and sodium hyaluronate.

Practical and travel-friendly, this formula comes in a gorgeous bottle that’s like a smaller version of our Naked Skin Liquid Makeup component. The modern flocked applicator lays down just the right amount of product, and it’s soft enough to use on the delicate skin under the eyes.

Naked Skin Concealer comes in a range of meticulously calibrated shades that coordinate with Naked Skin Powder Foundation. Our shade-matching system provides a clear starting point for finding your perfect shade: the first part represents shade intensity, and the second indicates shade undertone.

Even though the packaging on this really annoys me I like this concealer. For £19.50, it is light weight and blends easily. I think this concealer is good for an everyday makeup look. The shade is slightly too light for me, but once it is blended out it’s not noticeable. It’s very light weight and so it doesn’t cover up much in terms of any darkness/blue tones so I always use my Urban Decay Naked Skin Colour Corrector underneath it. So I have to disagree that it is full coverage as it is described, my under eyes aren’t that bad (I don’t think).

I find that it doesn’t crease much under my eyes, which I really like as for an everyday look it helps keep it looking natural. Overall I  like this concealer, however as much as I like this concealer I would like the formula to have a little more coverage for days when I haven’t had the best nights sleep, but it’s nothing that I can’t fix with some extra products.

Thank you so much for reading! What’s your fave concealer? Until next time
