12 months can bring a lot of change, both good and bad. A lot of things can happen, some will be forgotten and others will be cherished memories. I for one would never have envisaged myself where I am now. If someone would have told me in January half the things I’d do in the next 12 months I’d have thought they were mad.
At the beginning of this year I wrote a Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017 post. Summing up my year as well as including some goals for this year. Which I’ll admit I haven’t ticked them all off, but that’s okay. Things happened meaning that I couldn’t do some of what I wanted. But I am still so proud of myself.
This year I have explored Cornwall, which was an amazing place and I would love to see more! I have also been to Brighton again, which I love going to, as well as Weymouth. Basically I just love going to beaches!
I also bought my first car (a Mini!) and I adore her, I believe that everything happens for a reason. I have always wanted a Mini as my first car and there was no way I was ever going to settle for less! Not long after I applied for a university course and I got accepted! Having my car is a life saver as lugging a full makeup kit, books and laptop is heavy!
I am also proud that I got into university, it is something I never dreamed I would do! When I was younger I never went to collage I did apprenticeships instead, which I don’t regret as I learnt so much! I know that thousands of people go to uni every year, but nonetheless I am still proud I did something I never deemed in my grasp.
For the next 12 months I have decided not to do any resolutions (I can never stick to them) or goals as such. I have instead decided to do something new each month, so that’s 12 months of something new each month. I’m going to make a list of something I want to do that scares me/I put off and at the end of each month I’m going to chose one that I want to achieve that month/is realistically doable.
I would also like to vlog each experience because I just thought why not, and as most of the things I’ll be doing alone so just thought I’d film it to!
I am feeling very positive about this year. I have learnt so much about my self and began to conquer aspects of my anxiety. I really started to put myself first and do things for me. Letting go of negativity and focusing only on the good. So far I have really made progress in dealing with anxiety and I am really proud of the person I am.
I hope you all had an amazing New Years whatever you got up to! I spent it with my family and watched the fireworks! Thank you all so much for reading, I am ready to up my posting in 2018 and get better at balancing life!
