Over the past two months I really haven’t used up that much makeup or skincare. I’ve had a good clear out of the products I know I’m not going to use any more or don’t reach for, so my collection is more condensed and there’s actually room for more! So let’s get into the empties for July and August!
Makeup

NYX HD Studio Finishing Powder
I bought this loose powder as literally every YouTuber used a loose powder to set their makeup. So when I saw NYX had one I couldn’t resist trying out a loose powder for myself. It’s a good setting powder for my combination skin and it never gave me flash back, as it’s a white powder. The only thing that bothered me with this powder is that the holes where the product comes out are quite big, as so when clumsy Hannah dropped it on the floor landing face down, literally half the product spilled onto the floor. I never realised how many times I can drop a makeup product until I had a loose powder. The amount of product wasted because it was dropped is embarrassing!
Repurchase – No, I dropped it far too many times, wasting product! However I have bought the pressed translucent powder, which is exactly the same except pressed!
Seventeen Stay Time Concealer
The first time I bought this it was my perfect shade and so when I ran out and bought another the shade. However the shades seemed to have changed. I have the shade fair (same as I bought the first time) and it is slightly too orange for me to use now. Even though I really like the formula the shade is no longer a match, and every time I go to the Seventeen counter in Boots the counter is ransacked and there is hardly anything there!
Repurchase – No, every time I go to the Seventeen counter there’s never much stock there!
Soap & Glory Archery 2-in-1 Brow Sculpting Crayon & Setting Gel in Brownie Points
If you have seen my Natural vs Defined Brows video you’ll know I love Soap & Glory’s brow products. This eyebrow crayon is perfect for an everyday brow look for me. It takes me a few minutes to fill in the sparse areas on my brows and I’m good to go!
Repurchase – Already have!
Skincare

Sanctuary Spa Cleanse Moisture Burst Facial Wash
If you saw my February Haul, you’d know that I don’t like the smell of this face wash. However for £8 I didn’t really want to waste the product and the tube isn’t very big. After using it for two weeks it hadn’t broke me out or leave my skin feeling dry after use, and still didn’t by the time the tube was empty.
Repurchase – No, I don’t like the smell and it didn’t last very long.
No 7 Protect &Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream
This kept my skin hydrated throughout the day or cause me to break out – so that’s always a good thing! But as it has SPF in it, I found it left my skin with a white cast and as I have combination skin my oily t-zone doesn’t need anything to make it shiner throughout the day!
Repurchase – No
Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator Exfoliating Cleanser
I really like this cleanser, it has the texture of a scrub without being too harsh or too soft on my skin. After use it left my skin soft and I noticed it looked brighter in the mornings after using it in the evening. It also didn’t break my skin out or leave my skin dry after use.
Repurchase – Yes, however the £31.50 price tag (on Birchbox) puts me off!
Soap & Glory Puffy Eye Attack
I have not long done a review on these, so if you’d like an in depth review please click here!
Repurchase – Yes when I’m feeling my eyes need some extra TLC!
Sukin Hydrating Mist Toner
As I love Sukin masks when I was in need of a new toner I decided to try one of theirs. It’s paraben and alcohol free, which I love as alcohol in toners dries and breaks my skin out so much! I really enjoyed using this toner! It didn’t break my skin out or irritate it. It left my skin hydrated and feel fresh.
Repurchase – Yes! I am loving Sukin skincare right now!
And those are all my empties for the past two months! It’s crazy that tomorrow is September, like there’s 4 months left of this year! So much has happened in the last few that I’m looking forward to writing the penultimate post of this year!
What products have you been using up that you’re loving? Thank you so much for reading! Until next time!

Loved this post! I’ve never used that Vasanti cleanser but it sounds lovely. Maybe I’ll stretch my budget and get it… Shame that it’s so expensive!!

The puffy eye mask looks great! Will look out for it. I am loving Dermalogica Nightly lip cream. It will be great for fall dry and chapped lips.

That mist toner looks amazing! I probably would be better off with a mist as I always end up applying too much 🙂 xx
