The Body Shop Instaglow CC Cream | Review

Having combination skin can often mean no matter what the weather is doing my skin is always looking oily. After years of trying to combat the oiliness to make it more matte, this year I decided I would embrace it. So earlier this year, as the weather started to get warmer, I picked up The Body Shop Instaglow CC Cream in the shade Bright Glow. The Instaglow range come in 3 shades, Bright Glow, Peachy Glow and Warm Glow. I was immediately intrigued by this product as it’s described on TheBodyShop.com to have a multi-tasking formula that illuminates, minimises the appearance of pores, reduces shine,  moisturises for 24 hours and revives skin with a healthy-looking glow. It’s non comedogenic (doesn’t cause blocked pores or blackheads) and suitable for all skin types. Plus it has SPF 20 which adds some sun protection.

Described on TheBodyShop.com as
Our Instaglow CC Cream SPF 20 PA+++ goes beyond a CC cream, it will revive your skin with a healthy-looking glow.

For £15 there’s 25 ml of product and each time I use Bright Glow I use maybe a pea sized amount. Then dot it around my face where I want it before patting it down. For the most part I do agree that this product hasn’t broken me out, definitely illuminates my face (especially my cheeks that are drier) and gives my skin a healthy glow. It does However for me it doesn’t minimise the appearance of pores so I go in with a pore minimising primer before using Instaglow.

I’ve used Bright Glow a number of times now and I have to say I do like using it. It really makes my cheeks super glowy as well as enhancing the natural high points on my face. Even though I have combination skin I find I actually really love this product for the warmer weather. How I like to use it best is to apply a pore minimising primer first then apply Instaglow all over my face, conceal anywhere I need to then set it all with powder and bam I am good to go on my skin. For me I would use this over a foundation as it gives my skin a glow as well as protecting it from the sun.

Overall I do enjoy using this product for £15 it does most of what it says. Plus The Body Shop often have deals on like 3 for 2 or have a certain percentage off. I will definitely be using this throughout the summer and getting my glow on! You can find it here!

Thank you so much for reading! What products do you like to get your glow?

Until next time!

I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy this product recently, because I’ve been loving the Bourjois CC cream and want to try some other similar products! This review may have just persuaded me. 🙂 x
