Mini Makeup Declutter Spring 2017

I love the season changing from winter to spring. Everything is becoming so colourful again and there is new life starting everywhere! Every spring as I swap my winter wear for lighter layers, the season of new beginnings always inspires me to sort everything out. And so having already sorted out my clothes, shoes and jewellery I thought it was only right to give my makeup a bit of a spring clean.  I thought I would share with you the things I’m decluttering from my makeup collection!

Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Transparent
I picked this up as I was after a drugstore transparent brow gel. I found that it doesn’t really set my brows in place, it’s a very soft gel. Compared to my Soap & Glory Brow Crayon & Setting Gel, which makes my brows rock solid all day, the Maybelline isn’t in the same league. Personally if I set my brows I want them to stay put all day, and this doesn’t do it for me.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
I did a review of this cult favourite mascara a few weeks ago and I just couldn’t bring myself to finish the tube. To try use it up I ended up wiping most the product off before using it, but it still didn’t change my mind! If you’d like to read a more in depth review click here!

Max Factor Masterpiece High Precision Liquid Eyeliner in 25 Forest 
I bought this green eyeliner last year as I wanted to try different makeup looks. When searching in Boots for green eyeliner this was the only one I could find at the time and there were not testers open to see what the pen was like. So I thought I would just try it. Whilst I like the colour I can’t get on with the pen nib. It’s got a squared end and for me it’s impossible to get a sharp line, precision or in fact any type of good winged liner.

Seventeen Mega Matte Lipstick in I Lilac It A Lot & Violet Summer 
I was gifted these last year from Seventeen when they first launched. Since I’ve got them I’ve never really reached for them. Even though they are pretty shades they apply really patchy on my lips. If you’d like to see swatches of I Lilac It A Lot you can here and for Violet Summer here!

No 7 Shimmer Palette in Bronze
This was gifted from the same team as Seventeen. As pretty as the shades are I just find 3 out of 4 shades to be to dark for my skin tone, even mixing them all together.

Whilst this is a mini declutter with only 6 items, it’s still more space for my collection! I do have other items on my list to use up so keep an eye out for another empties post coming soon!
