Gold Cut Crease

Happy December! We are finally in the last month of 2016! I love Christmas and I have been loving creating festive looks for the season! For my first festive look I have a gold cut crease with red lips! I have recently mastered the skill of a cut crease, and whilst it still has room for improvement, I am loving wearing it!

To start this look off I first primed my skin using The Body Shop Tee Tree prime as well as priming my eye lids using Urban Decay Primer Potion. I then set my eye lids using a skin coloured shadow before starting the eyes. I used Makeup Geek Bitten in my crease and extending it outwards. Blending it until it was as dark and blended as I wanted. To create the cut crease I took a flat brush and my concealer, taking a small amount onto the flat brush and patting the concealer onto my lids. Making sure I kept both eyes even and a smooth line before the crease of my eye.

I then used a clean flat brush and spritzed it with Mac Fix+ before using Makeup Geeks Show Time. I put this shade over where I had applied the concealer. I then used Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them as well as to highlight my brow bone. I then added winged eyeliner. To deepen the outer corner I used a darker red just in the crease, blending into the centre of the crease. I then added more of Show Time to blend in with the darker red. When I was happy with how my eyes looked I cleaned up under my eyes ready for applying face products.

I used The Fresh Nude Foundation from The Body Shop in the shade Bora Bora and to conceal I used NYX HD concealer in the shade Porcelain. To set it all I used my NYX HD Studio Powder in Translucent. I then moved onto my brows using Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil & Brush in Hot Chocolate and to set I used Maybelline Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara in Transparent.

For mascara I used Urban Decays Perversion mascara. Moving onto blush I used Sleek blush in Rose Gold and to contour I used Makeup Geek contour pan in Bad Habit. Finally to highlight I used the Sleek Solstice highlight palette and mixed the shades Subsolar and Equinox.

Finally for lashes I used Eyelure Cheryl lashes in No 114 and used the Duo Eyelash glue. For lips I wanted to match my eyes with a red so I chose Seventeen Mega Matte in Rioja Your World.

And that’s it! My first Christmas look! (Of course it can be worn anytime but I think the red makes it so festive!) I am loving wearing reds, glitter and just Christmas in general! It’s my favourite season!

Thank you for reading! Until next time!
